But their tranquility is soon shattered. Leaving murder in their wake, the Alliance stops at nothing to destroy Nathan and the dossier. Despite involvement by the highest echelons of government, Nathan is betrayed by his protectors, and his daughter is taken hostage. Now the timid professor must garner strength he never knew he had.

A Southern California child, Ken spent three years in the Army during the Viet Nam era. While in Turkey, he met and married his late wife, and the two went on to live and work in Europe for the next fifteen years. Returning to the USA, Ken went on to develop markets for US and Australian-built pleasure boats. Ken has worked, lived, and otherwise experienced 92 countries-- and intends to break 100 within a few years. In 2010, Ken fulfilled a lifetime desire to delve into international assistance work by joining USAID (US Agency For International Development), and served 14 months in southern Afghanistan. His novel, A Lion in Spring, is the result of nine years of living and working in Greece. Today, Ken and his wife, Kanjana, reside in Florida.
