J. Peter Fitzgerald is an American citizen, born in Massachusetts. He is a veteran of the U.S. Navy and is married to a native of the Philippines. He and his wife currently spend equal time between Norway Maine and the remote barrio of Simayung in the Cagayan Valley of the Philippines. He attended the University of Hawaii majoring in Not Paying Attention; he does not hold them liable for the way he turned out. Although this is the author’s first attempt at writing a book, he has written extensively on his experiences in the Philippine barrio.
