The Pitchfork Murder

This is the writer's fourth Cajun murder mystery based in the fictional St. Beatrice Parish, close to the vast Atchafalaya Swamp, Louisiana. Edmond Dant s Mallet, a St. Beatrice cop is on administrative leave because he had to shoot a man while on duty. He accompanies his wife to her twenty year class reunion on the Gulf Coast of Florida. Bored, he becomes interested in the cold-case murder of one of her classmates, never realizing how close to home this investigation will lead. To further complicate matters, threatening situations are developing back in Louisiana.

This is Yochim’s fourth Cajun murder mystery set in the fictional St. Beatrice Parish, Louisiana. She has lived immersed in Cajun culture for many years on a vintage Acadiana farm on fabled Bayou Teche, surrounded by wildlife. Yochim also holds a license in Mental Health Counseling and has written a day-to-day help book for the depressed reader.
