Marie "Queen" Spiller was determined to be a winner. She was no ordinary hood chick. She wanted to get out of the hood and never become a statistic. But growing up in Avondale, a neighborhood in Cincinnati, Ohio wasn't the kind of area people "made it" out of. Once Queen falls in love with a local drug dealer she thinks she has it all. Queen is forced to move outside her city in order to forget about the one place she calls home.
