Everything She Never Wanted

Isabella, young and beautiful and talented, has come from her Northern Michigan life to the big city and to a big job where she meets influential, powerful, wealthy men. One of them offers her everything she never wanted - a life of affluence decorated with private planes, yachts, and mansions. But can the country girl who dreamt of a cottage with a picket fence, four kids, and a toy poodle move into this world? After she tries to and comes to regret her choices, she turns for solace to the rich man's best friend. Her affair with the friend expands into a unique complication, which leads from new-found ecstasy to overwhelming tragedy.

A self-proclaimed writer at age nine, Norman Prady is a former metropolitan daily newspaper reporter and feature writer, a novelist, and a longtime freelance journalist whose work has appeared in many national publications. He also worked in advertising as a creative director of major agencies. He teaches creative nonfiction writing to members of The Oxford Writers Group gathered around his kitchen table in Michigan.
