Robert E. Thornsberry was born in St. Marys, Ohio in 1956 and grew up in Preble County, Ohio. He graduated from Twin Valley North High School and received a master’s degree in History from Ohio University. He married Kay Lee Kinker in 1984. They currently live in Lexington, Kentucky with their children, Miranda and John, son-in-law, Lachlan and grandson, James
