The author, Wendy Thornton, is an award-winning writer who has published in many national and international literary magazines and journals. She was nominated for a Pushcart Prize and has been chosen editor’s pick on Salon.com many times. She lives in Florida and loves to hang out at the beach, any beach. She writes better there - that’s her story and she’s sticking to it. Her husband, Ken, is a constant inspiration, meaning he inspires her to finish her books, a necessary part of her writing career. Her two children, Jessica, a nurse, and Bryan a writer, are the loves of her life. Her memoir, Dear Oprah: How I Beat Cancer and Learned to Love Daytime TV, was published in 2013.
