內容簡介

This story, like the land it is set in, is one of mystery, ancient forces, and the fragile boundary between life and death. It is a journey not just through the physical world, but into the very heart of what lies beyond the veil-the forces that shape our reality and our understanding of what it means to be truly alive.

At its core, this is a tale of transformation. Maya’s journey from a curious soul to a warrior against dark forces is both personal and universal. It is a story of loss, discovery, and the unyielding strength of the human spirit in the face of impossible odds. But Maya’s path was never meant to be walked alone. Alongside her, characters like Tor, Martha, and Roar find themselves entangled in a web that spans both time and space, challenging everything they thought they knew about the world.

Set against the haunting backdrop of Norway’s rugged wilderness, the story explores the deep connections between the physical and spiritual realms-those who dwell among us in the shadows, and those who watch from the other side. Through Maya’s eyes, we are reminded of the power of belief, the importance of honoring those who came before us, and the ever-present tension between light and dark.

The forces Maya encountered were not merely figments of folklore; they were real, and they had been watching, waiting for the right moment to reveal themselves. But even as the battle to protect the world from the encroaching darkness reaches its climax, we are reminded that true strength comes not from isolation, but from the bonds we share with others.

This book is a testament to the legacy of those who dare to face the unknown, who defy the odds, and who give everything for a cause greater than themselves. Maya’s story, though tragically cut short, lives on in the hearts of those she touched. And through them, her journey continues.

As you read these pages, may you be inspired to look beyond the surface, to question what you know, and to embrace the possibility that the world is far more mysterious than we could ever imagine. The road ahead is uncertain, but it is ours to walk, together.

作者簡介

Maria Johnsen’s writing abilities stem from a early passion for literature that was fostered by The Greats. Fyodor Dostoyevsky, Anton Chekhov, Leo Tolstoy, Émile Zola, Mark Twain and Charles Dickens all contributed to Maria’s enthusiasm for poetry, fiction and nonfiction alike. Creating her first fiction story at just ten years old, Maria went on to write her first screenplay aged 13 which she offered to a popular filmmaker who was an associate of her Father’s. Greatly moved and inspired by the work of Dostoyevsky, Maria had crafted a tale about poverty and was invited to go along with her father to speak with the film producer. After reading a segment of the synopsis, he offered her a piece of advice that has served her ever since: "Maria, this really is a competently composed tale, but you know absolutely nothing about poverty! If you would like to illustrate about the rain you must stand under it, experience it and then write about it. It is advisable to write about issues that are important to you. Compose a tale about yourself, friends and family and your ambitions." he said. Immediately taking this on board, Maria never forgot his words, and began striving to bring passion, depth and authenticity to her work. With a degree in Political Economy, a BA in Information Technology, a BA in Informatics, a Beauty Arts degree from Sorbonne University in Paris and a Master of Science degree in Computer Engineering from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology and Master degree in filmmaking and television production from Royal Holloway University of London. Maria’s professional background is as vast as it is diverse. Her skills extend across the sales, marketing, software design and business intelligence industries and she is a multilingual SEO, PPC and social media marketing expert, this year being ranked the 6th most Influential Digital Marketing Expert in the world. Along with the international expansion of her company Golden Way Media and her incredible business career successes comes a natural thirst for knowledge that has led to creative expression in the form of writing. Maria has published a range of poetry, fiction and nonfiction books, offering her extensive knowledge and experience to the world while at the same time nourishing a childhood love for storytelling.
