J.R. Underdown grew up in the humble suburbs of Northern Kentucky where he learned an appreciation of nature, adventure, and God. In high school he began writing goofy short story mysteries that uncovered a knack for storytelling. As his horizons grew, so did his writing. During his first year of college, he branched out from the mysteries and wrote his debut novel ＂Plethora＂, a fantasy work that gently pokes fun at, while simultaneously paying tribute to, the popular genre. In his 10 years of writing, he has penned over 50 short stories and 4 novels. He currently lives in Kansas City, Missouri with his wife and rusty bicycle, Franz.
