Teri Gandy-Richardson is a visual artist, yoga teacher and studio owner who wrote this book in her days of teaching art to preschoolers. Inspired by her father who once taught math and physics, she believes that it was his nurturing that fostered her love of math, systems and art making at an early age that lead her to do well in school. With that, she developed a love for learning that deepened her understanding of shape and form which got her into Cooper Unions School of Architecture. Discerning mathematical ideals in everything art, music, dance, yoga, nature, science and architecture, this author believes that when children are positively exposed to math early, math will become fun and empowering!
