jiako Ekwelie was born to Professor Sylvanus and Mrs. Pauline Ekwelie, in the Southeastern Nigeria during the military rule and economic decline. To forget about the worries, he trained daily at the basketball court. In 1996, he was awarded the number one position in Enugu state basketball competition. After secondary school, he had a rethink about his studies and embraced it once more. From the Department of Archaeology and Tourism, University of Nigeria, he obtained the first degree in 2005, and the master’s degree in 2009. Immediately after his second degree, he wrote two children storybooks; "Chioma in the City" and "The Track Road to the Stream" and a novel; "The College Prince." After working with Post-primary school service commission for a few years, he relocated to the USA. Concisely, he is writing books that could motivate a better world through storytelling.
