Jody Houser decided she wanted to be a writer at eight years old and never looked back. She earned her MFA in Creative Writing at Emerson College, where she completed her master’s thesis in screenwriting and was a winner of the Rod Parker Fellowship for Playwriting. Now a New York Times bestselling and Eisner-nominated writer, Jody has penned stories for DC Comics (Mother Panic, Harley Quinn & Poison Ivy), Marvel Comics (Star Wars, Web of Black Widow), Dark Horse Comics (Stranger Things, Critical Role), Titan Comics (Doctor Who), IDW Publishing (Orphan Black, Star Trek), and Valiant Entertainment (Faith), among others.
Kendra Wells is a writer, illustrator, and cartoonist. Their published works include Tell No Tales: Pirates of the Southern Seas(written by Sam Maggs), Real Hero Shit, and contributions to the Ignatz Award-winning anthology Be Gay Do Comics. Kendra is inspired by medieval fantasy, gay weirdos, existential dread, and their cat Nicky. They are growing a tomato plant this year.
Mae Catt (she/they) a queer, multi-racial native of Los Angeles, and screenwriter. Mae has many cross-genre loves that have helped her write on a variety of prominent projects in both animation, live action, and now comics.
Mae got her animation debut writing for the critically-acclaimed
Young Justice.
Since then, Mae has worked as a writer for
Transformers: Cyberverse, Marvel’s
Marvel Rising and
Spider-man, and Nickelodeon’s
Monster High. Mae has also worked in adult animation with
Dragon Age: Absolution and
The Legend of Vox Machina. Most recently, Mae has worked as a writer and story editor for
Transformers: Earthspark.
