Additionally, she has been writing since the age of nine when she began keeping a journal and has continued the tradition for over thirty years. In doing so, it afforded her the opportunity to record the milestones in her life and the incidences of an abusive relationship. The details of her struggle are chronicled in her novel, Bended Flower which is loosely based on a true story. This propelling tale expounds on a young woman’s desperate search for love and acceptance. In her quest, she finds herself thrust into a cold world filled with deception, drugs, sexual exploitation, abandonment, depression, and verbal, emotional, financial and sexual abuse by the one who promises to love her forever. Her experience with violence has afforded her the opportunity to speak at several venues, including Wayne State University. Her ultimate goal and passion is to spread awareness of abuse and maltreatment in intimate partner relationships, and serve as a catalyst for change and a beacon of hope for victims as well as survivors as she continues to personally aspire to greatness. Her other titles include; Testing the Water, Testing the Water AGAIN, Release; the casualty of words, Dear Ex-Boyfriend, Flower Behind the Brick Wall, Covert Significance, The Psychological Selfie, Pretty Punishment, and Ashes in the Name.
