Love's Not Supposed To Hurt chronicles the life of Keya Gibson, a woman that was a victim of rape and physical abuse at the young innocent age of 13. As she grew older the dark cloud of her past continued to loom over her head. After suffering from domestic abuse, mental break down, and a failed suicide attempt will Keya's determination and the love and support from her family be enough to get her back on track to regain her sanity or will the demons from her past continue to haunt her.

Tommy Shorter is a Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania native that was accustomed to a fast paced and luxurious lifestyle until he was humbled with a federal sentence in 2002; 188 months. Instead of dwelling on the time negatively his creativity was unleashed. During his 15 year sentence he was able to fully dedicate his time to his hidden passion for writing and poetry. It is his mission to take the joy, pain, up and downs of that time and provide readers with consistent quality material that is timeless. 15 years and 10 books later, he is ready to unveil his passion. In addition to being an author he plans to add entrepreneurship and film and production projects to his resume.
