Here is an eclectic collection of short stories from Walter Keady, told with the author's much acknowledged and well-honed humor, penetrating with wit and irony the foibles of ordinary people in varied situations and times of life. The twenty stories in the collection range in territory from Ireland to Brazil and to the USA. Some are set in modern times and some belong to times past. The title of the book reflects its contents, for the stories are about love and justice - and at times injustice - and in many run the deceptions that people indulge in when dealing with each other in everyday life. Through all, Keady delves into the characters of his protagonists and captures their innermost thoughts and feelings.

Walter Keady was born in County Mayo, Ireland. He grew up on a farm and was employed in the Irish Civil Service before studying for the Catholic priesthood. He completed a degree at University College Dublin and four years theology study at Holy Ghost Missionary College, Kimmage before being ordained a priest and serving as a missionary in Brazil. When he resigned the priesthood he came to the United States and worked for IBM as a software engineer. He is the author of five published novels and a memoir. He lives in upstate New York with his wife Jennifer.
