Resolving Dalton Jones

A dysfunctional family drama with big themes questioning life and accepting death. The rugged literary icon, Dalton Jones, is a divorced Midwestern novelist living in Northern Michigan's Leelanau Peninsula, on Cathead Bay. Upon receiving news of his terminal illness Dalton is filled with a flood of regret and begins to reexamine his life; lost love, desires, and histories that have enfolded him. Dalton travels from Michigan to New York City with the hope of resolving strained relations with his ex-wife, Lillian, and his emotionally charged and financially dependent son, Dan. A relationship driven story centered on a father and son, with a supporting cast of colorful Midwestern characters.

Albert Bryce Hanner, born in Flint, Michigan in 1974 to Sharon Lettie (Jones), of Oregon, and Albert Duane Hanner, of Michigan, where Hanner grew up along with his two brothers. He received private fine-art instruction from the Rae Studio & Gallery in Flushing, Michigan, and graduated from Central Michigan University with a double major in painting & drawing, and graphic design. He married Jessica Marie Soliz, also from Michigan, and together in 2001 they moved to New York City, where they lived for four and a half years. In 2005 they moved across the country to Denver, Colorado, where they currently reside with their two children. Since 2012 Hanner has been the Art Director for the award winning Journal of Financial Planning, and in 2013 he published his Collected Poems: 1995-2013.
