Peter Uren was born and grew up on the NSW South Coast, the second of four children. After finishing High School, Peter joined the Royal Australian Air Force where he served for 23 years. He worked for another seven years as a civilian with the Department of Defence before ill health forced his retirement. Peter has had a life long love affair with motorcycles. He purchased his first bike at 18, and in the intervening 40 years has had another eight machines. He still enjoys riding, albeit on three wheels rather than two. His current mount is a Can-Am Spyder Roadster RSS SE5. Peter came late to writing for pleasure. While the Air Force taught him to write official correspondence and reports, Stroud Writers taught him to write fiction. He joined the group in July 2012 and by September 2013 he had written and published his first novel: The Old Mechanic. Following an overwhelmingly positive response, he started writing the sequel, Dominator in the Shadows, which is also available for sale. Peter has been married to Judy for 37 years, and they have one adult son.
