Dr. Boyer provides consulting to general small businesses, 8(a) and set-aside small business and government contracting companies, resume writing mentoring for job seekers, social media management and training (LinkedIn) for individuals, small, or large groups, and consulting for print-on-demand publishing for budding authors and entrepreneurs.
She graduated in 2013 from Old Dominion University, Norfolk, VA with a Ph.D. concentration is in Occupational Studies and Technology with a concentration on Training and Development in Human Resources. Her dissertation is entitled, ’Competencies Required of Human Resource Professionals in the Government Contracting Industry, ’ and is available via Amazon. While working as a (Doctoral) Graduate Teaching Assistant, she taught computer science and technology to undergraduate students.
Dr. Boyer has 22+ years of senior management experience in human resources, of which 12+ years is in government-contracting. She also provides HR consulting services to small entrepreneurial businesses, including dynamically growing 8(a) set-aside defense companies and small business for business development, resume coaching for job seekers, and social media management and training (LinkedIn).
Her creative experience has enabled her to write and publish 55+ books in the topics of: Genealogy, History, Quote Collections, Business Development, Women & Gender Studies, Biographies and Interviews, and Career Search / Job Hunting. She offers consulting to budding or struggling authors to assist them in getting their stories, books, and collections published; including a delayed royalties program for those with little money - providing a spring-board method to get their book on Amazon and in E-book format quickly and conveniently for print-on-demand books.
She also is an avid artist - completing many pen and ink studies of old town Williamsburg, portraits of old barns, houses, and historic architecture, quilts, handmade clothing, and up-cycling discarded, broken, or unwanted furniture into beautiful works of art. She provides graphic illustrations as part of her publishing for print-on-demand books consulting.
