Liberation

Soft-hearted medic Harper Strauss is a pro-vamp supporter living in the Canadian heart of the anti-vampire movement. With her mother-hen instincts and gentle disposition, the Kaius haunt deems her an ideal candidate to assist their leader’s re-vamping and subsequent recovery. With the whispers of an ancient in his mind, Kaius awakens from his transformation under the firm hand of his sire, Boy, and the sweet voice of his caregiver, Harper. With a distant recollection of who he was and an emerging sense of who he is, Kaius is pushed to regain his control and master his skills under Boy’s rigid guidance. Harper becomes a beacon of acceptance and tenderness amid the mounting pressures, but when his former sire arrives to claim what is hers, Kaius is forced to choose between who he was created to become and what he now lives to be.
