'Behind the Moving Images' is a journey to tinsel town to explore the life of those who became stars and those who struggle to find some space for them with a dream to twinkle in the sky of Glamour one day. 'Film is a dream, film is music... No art passes our conscience in the way film does and goes directly to our feelings, deep down in to the dark rooms of our souls'- thus sums up the fascinating world of cinema by Ingmar Bergman, the great film maker. No other media has been able to catch the imagination of all hues, of millions across the globe year after year. The thrills and triumphs, the trials and tribulations, the good and sleaze-only cinema can reflect human sensitivity in Toto and yet remain open to all kinds of censures. In all the glitter that separates cinema from the world outside, one prominent factor that remains in the public realm is the life of those who work in front of and behind the camera. More so the stars and the film maker present us on a platter lot of grey matter with which many of us compare our own lives. One moment film walas are praised and the next day they are ridiculed.....but they accept these bouquets and brick- bats with characteristic lan and their band lives on..... 'Behind the moving Images' 'attempts to take a realistic yet measured peep in to the lives of stars and their makers and tell us vividly, how darkness overpowers them once the arcs are faded away, albeit unknown to the outside world most of the times.

Kuldeep Sinha is a national award winning author and film maker who has won considerable renown for his thought provoking films and writings. He has Three short story anthologies to his credit: Kashish, Siskiyaan and Dastak. His books on Film making ’Patkatha Lekhan Ke Tatva’ ( Elements of screen play writing) and Film Nirdeshan (Direction) are equally popular with students of cinema He was conferred the Rajbhasha shree and the Saraswat Samman at the Ashirwad awards, Hindi Sahitya Samman By the Ministry of Information and broadcasting, Government of India and few others. He has written and directed more than hundred short films on a wide variety of subjects from Agriculture to Arts, from Music to Science and from News and current affairs to Educational films. His films have begged several National and International Honors., He was honored with ’Scroll of Honour’ for outstanding services towards the welfare & growth of Hindi Talkie Cinema by Indian Organisation of Mass Communication & School of Broadcasting & Communication, Mumbai, and the ’Life Time Achievement Award’ for contribution in the growth and promotion of Documentary Films by International Centre for Cultural Relations, Mumbai and many more. An Honors graduate from the University of Pune, He also graduated in cinema from the Film and Television Institute of India with a rare flair in Hindi and English equally .He later studied Journalism, Press relations and Management. His earlier English novel Titled NEITHER deals with Trauma & turbulence, social and economic discrimination and evolution of transgender community
