What do you get when you mix one bad-to-the-bone ex-boyfriend, a lady with a possibly shady past, a national hero and twelve meddling little old ladies? Just another day in a small Southern town Sara O'Connell leaves behind a troubling past in Chicago to make a new start in a small rural Louisiana town when she inherits a house from her Great Aunt Sophie. Sara discovers the house is rumored to be inhabited by the ghost of her ancestor, Colonel Boudreau, and that it needs more than a little TLC. Even so, it's just the place for Sara to start fresh. Dan Landry is a former Marine who is working undercover to find out who is stealing and selling arms in his little home town. The old Boudreau house is at the center of the investigation and Dan is determined to find out who is behind the strange things going on at the house. He certainly hopes it's not the new owner. As Dan and Sara grow closer, they each have secrets they're not ready to share. Unfortunately, keeping secrets in a small Southern town is extremely difficult...and forgiving them is even harder.
