The Journey Begins

JL was born October 19, 1971 and raised in a small town in Texas. He graduated from High School in 1991. He was called JL by only his grandmother who helped his father raise him. His parents divorced when he was young and his mother was forced to move away and she lost track of him. He grew up with his father, grandparents, brother and two sisters. In seventh grade, he wrote his first story for a class project. He got an ＂A＂ on it and since then, he’s been writing short stories. He joined the Navy in 1991 after graduation, and studied Boiler Technician. He was stationed in Virginia and Texas. He left the navy in 1993. He married after the Navy but the marriage didn’t last long. For years he lived in different places in different states. He stayed with family a lot. In 2001, he started writing a set of fantasy stories titled ＂The Journey to Adventure＂. In 2006 he moved to Mississippi then started writing children’s books. He now lives in Texas with his partner, Michael Eriksson.
