Lou Kritz and his wife Loraine live in Homosassa, FL, a small town on the state’s Nature Coast, and enjoy its rustic beauty. After careers in sales and management for Lou, and medicine for Loraine, they now have time to concentrate on their writing. "Dark Angel Amish," Lou’s first novel, arises from their experience of living for twelve years in Lancaster County, PA, four of which were spent in an Amish home. This allowed Lou to see the day-to-day lives of the members of this unique sect. He found that they are good people struggling to live up to a sometimes unfathomable creed. Lou’s writing over the years has mostly been non-fiction covering a diverse roster of articles and books on politics, economics, bariatric surgery, and pedigreed cat husbandry. Future works include further development of the story line of "Dark Angel Amish."
