The year is 1887 and Daisie Deane decides to become a Mail Order Bride after her parents tried to force her getting married to a rich but rather boring gentleman.
Young Daisie Deane is growing tired of her boring intended husband and the expectations put on by her parents. She decides to follow in her eldest sister’s footsteps and look for a husband far away from her home in Boston. With the help of her faithful servant, Wilson, Daisie heads off to meet the Texan bachelor, Henry Gerard, in Hillsboro. Their relationship is tense and dysfunctional due to secrets and debts in his past, but they eventually manage to come to an understanding. The real problem comes when Henry’ old enemy, Ed Butch Cassidy, returns to get his revenge on the former macho Texas Ranger. With little help from the local law enforcement, Henry must get his old team to help him save his old friend and relative, Kai. Meanwhile, Daisie must learn to finally become a mature woman and become a help to others instead of waiting to be taken care of herself.
