Zelmer Wilson (born 1 July 1975 in Fort Collins, Colorado) is an American author. He discovered that he wanted to be a writer when he was fifteen years old during the summer of 1990 while in Birmingham, Alabama, visiting his mother and two sisters. He spent the next few years trying to write a novel. At first, because he was reading science-fiction at the time, he tried to write a science-fiction novel. It was when he was twenty-one years old that he read Henry Miller’s Tropic of Cancer for the first time. He then realized that he could use his own life as the basis or inspiration for a story.
