Cristina Cabral was born in Brazil. She grew up in a family of artists, surrounded by writers and musicians. At the age of fifteen, Cristina discovered her love for working with kids while putting on puppet shows for the local children. At seventeen, she wrote a stage adaptation of the children’s book Tres Voltas Pra Esquerda (Three Spins to the Left), originally written by Stella Carr. Currently, she coordinates the Department of Children, Youth, and Family at the Allan Kardec Spiritist Center in Danbury, Connecticut, where she lives with her husband and her three children.
