The Electric House

Ms. McKinney’s goal is to write the type novel she loves to read, literary commercial, with characters she can’t forget in an intense love story, and a plot twist or two that plays with her mind. THE ELECTRIC HOUSE is her third. Her first was THE LADIES OF SHALLOT in 2013, and her second, BOUND FOR EBENEZER, was released in 2014. After reading some of the world’s great books and teaching a few of them to high school students in Mississippi and Tennessee, Ms. McKinney decided to write about some of the characters she had been nurturing in her imagination. She enrolled in creative writing and began her first novel. These days she substitute teaches in elementary school - no high school please, although she helps coach the local high school tennis team, still ＂reads ’til her eyes bleed,＂ can’t type fast enough to get all her characters in their stories, and loves nothing more than time with family and friends.
