Rhodie sticks her head under Sarabeth’s nightgown. “I could live under here,” she says, taking her panties into her teeth and growling. 
“Sounds good,” says Sarabeth. “I’ll toss you some food every once in a while.”

Sarabeth is lucky to work from home, since paranormals are swarming the city and it’s really not safe to go out. On the other hand, she’s lonely. And hungry. And pretty sick of sitting inside listening to the violence out on the street. 

After screwing up her courage and getting to the corner grocery, Sarabeth meets a woman whose everything she’s not—feisty, tough, fit—but they turn out to have a whole lot more in common that she first imagines.
