I was born July 12, 1961 and raised in Harrellsville, North Carolina, a small town in the northeastern part of the state, near the Virginia state line. I remember as a young child I had the talents to draw, write poetry, and to sing, but I never knew to what extent, with no one noticing it except God and me, so eventually my talents grew dormant. As a young child I performed very small landscape jobs with my mother, whomever needed our help, and I was always glad to be there working right alongside my mother. Later in my early teenage years I worked as a farm hand in every type of crops according to what grew that time of the year. At the age of 18 in 1980 I received my first public job working for Perdue Chicken Processing Plant in Lewiston, North Carolina and I worked as a Production Scalier, which consisted of weighing and grading the quality of chicken legs for the consumers. Finally, I went off to the United States Army into the field of transportation, where I spent over 26 years before retiring in 2007, and achieved the rank of Sergeant First Class (SFC) with two combat tours to protect our way of life. I enjoy writing the "Heavenly Poems" book of collections, because this is what makes me feel good in life now, even though I have not found a market for the books, and now I know God has a plan for them, so I keep on writing until He gives me His direction. Please do not think I am anyone special with writing this book of Heavenly Poems and the others in the collection, because I am not, and I am just a man that has made plenty of mistakes, but I listen to God now to understand that this is how God wants me to serve Him in serving you, His children.
