"I Am Ari" Volume 2: Ari gets a CGM

＂I Am Ari＂, Ari Gets a CGM is the second book in the ＂I Am Ari＂ series, all images in this book are in full color and large print for small children. It is suitable for kids from preschool and up who are dealing with Type 1 Diabetes or may know a child who is.Description: Just like in the first book of the series, this book features lots of images of ＂Ari＂ as well as providing educational information in an easy to understand way, along with dealing with the difficult feelings that go hand and hand with this disease. This is a short children’s book about a girl with Type 1 Diabetes, in which the main character, Ari, gets a constant glucose monitor, unfortunately though, she’s afraid of this big change. Eventually, with a bit of persuasion she reluctantly decides to at least give the new device a chance. But will she decide she hates it or loves it? Author’s Notes: This book is great for younger audiences with Type 1 Diabetes, especially those who are considering getting a CGM or wanting to know more about CGM therapy. It’s suitable for preschoolers up and is an easy to read book with lots of pictures of full color pictures of Ari so that the audience can relate to the character and not feel alone dealing with this disease. There are also pictures of the CGM so if you or your child are considering trying out a constant glucose monitor you’ll somewhat know what to expect. There’s also a few humorous moments in this book that will help keep your child interested, as well as learning the important life lesson that sometimes change is good.As with all ＂I Am Ari＂ books, all proceeds will go directly towards ＂Ari’s＂ diabetes alert service dog, so your purchase will go towards an excellent cause. I am a stay at home mother of two children, Ari and Ty. I have always loved reading and wanted to write books and once my daughter became a Type 1 Diabetic I decided to go ahead and go for my dream of writing. I never thought I’d be writing children’s nonfiction but now that I have I really enjoy it and plan on writing many more. Eventually I also want to write some adult help books about diabetes as well. I strongly feel that, as a mother of a diabetic child, I should help other families and children going through this disease, that way no one has to go through the struggles alone.
