Love Between the Words

Love Between the Words seems to be a lascivious love story but it turns into a Noir plot with unexpected consequences.

This is the story of Mary Smith, a 48-year-old American woman, owner of the world’s largest book publishing house. She is the very model of a visionary businesswoman, ethical, methodical and lucid, determined to get ahead in the world.

Everything in Mary’s life is order and perfection until fate lures 26-year-old Andreu Santa Rosa, a Cuban baseball player of some promise to New York looking for work.

The attraction between the two is so brutal that it drags us on to explore the wonders of love, and not just the noble side that requires the ultimate sacrifice, but also the perversions that can consume and destroy.

Mexican writer Orlando Gomez met Spanish writer Mar Escribano in September 2013. He needed to burn his soul into the paper and she wanted to escape from reality. Over the past year and a half they have collaborated on six novels and are presently writing their seventh book, which will be the first part of a trilogy. Here we present to you one of their Spanish-Mexican literary co-productions (the very first of their works together): Love Between the words.
