Lynette Hill is an American writer who lives in middle England with Ruth, her partner, and Badger, their cat. As a print journalist in Oklahoma she covered elephant races and delved into the secrets of professional magicians. On the web she covered amateur sports and recreation for the Washingtonpost.com’s Entertainment Guide in Washington D.C. As a freelance writer she explained whale hunts and the mechanics of flying squirrels for the Washington Post, among others. When not writing she enjoys hiking, music and live theater. She is taking advantage of her time in England to explore the places made famous through folklore and mythology. She has climbed the coastline around King Arthur’s castle Tintagel in Cornwall and visited his apparent burial place in Glastonbury. She knows where to buy a magic wand in London and has made a wish from inside the Uffington White Horse in Oxfordshire. Her adventures continue. Halfnote’s Song is her first novel. Octavia’s Journey will be her second.
