This Is Me: An Autobiography

Shane Linder grew up in a Christian home, cuddled by his older sisters. They had family worship every evening in their home and attended church on Sabbath morning. Shane attended church school with his siblings. He was privileged to the same school teacher for five years, grades four to eight. He attended public school and worked part-time. He joined the Army National Guard while still in high school. The Army toughened him up a bit and taught him discipline. He learned how to respect authority and use it.

Shane finished his time in the Army while he was in college. He began a college ministry which he continued after graduating and moving to Texas. He went from being a weekend warrior - part-time soldier/full-time student - to being a weekend missionary. He spent his weekends in Mexico doing missionary work. After 14 years of serving as a missionary, Shane went to graduate school in Mexico and earned a master’s degree in family counseling. He continued studying and earned a doctorate from the seminary in pastoral counseling. Today, Dr. Shane is a bivocational pastor and construction manager. This is his story.

Shane Linder is graduate student, studying at the Universidad de Montemorelos, Mexico for a master’s degree in Christian Family Counseling. He earned his bachelor degree in construction management after serving in the US Army Engineer Regiment in Panama. He has served in his religious denomination as a church elder, deacon, men’s ministry director and in children’s ministries. His passion is helping families and those struggling with addictive, obsessive and compulsive disorders. He serves his church community as an avocation and works in commercial building construction as a professional manager. He has volunteered as a construction missionary in the US, El Salvador and Mexico.
