Who is Vincent S. Pettis? Vincent S. Pettis is a successful self-employed entrepreneur who is retired from law enforcement. Vincent holds a black belt in Kenpo karate, and is a well-known for his innate speaking and writing abilities, and equal skill impacting the lives of others, particularly, young children. Vincent holds five (5) college degrees, including a Bachelors in Justice Systems Policy, a Masters degree in Administration and a second Masters degree in English. His bachelors and Masters degrees were all acquired at Northern Arizona University. Okay, now to the ’real’ Vincent S. Pettis! I am just a regular American guy who’s been around and done lots of different things in my life. In fact, I am very fortunate to have had so many different experiences in my life. But, one thing that has always been a constant in my life is my love of writing. Truth be told, I would not call myself a "writer" in the formal sense, I would just say that I like to write. And, really, I like to write about nearly any topic. I have my favorites of course, like children’s books, politics, health and fitness, personal narratives, and inspirational, among others. Writing is a personal thing with me. And, I am probably like most writers in that we do it because we enjoy it, the process and the results of our work, whether someone reads it or not. Writing is about getting our thoughts down on paper, piecing them together and making something worthwhile for readers or just ourselves to keep. Much of what I write will never be seen by anyone other than myself, and I bet there are a ton of writers out there who do and feel the same, but maybe they don’t always talk about it. I write because I like to write, period. It has nothing to with what others [think] of my writing. But, there are some things I want to share with others, so I share them. I hope through time that anyone who reads my books will get something positive out of them in one form or another. I am not selling a brand so much I am promoting writing itself. The power of the written word is endless, and with it endless opportunities to create what ever you want. At least this is what I tell my two young boys, Vincent and Nick.
