Giselle Black has read her story a million times. Now, she’s about to start writing it. But it doesn’t pay when she puts pen to paper. Life as a librarian leads her to stock the shelves, not build new ones. Not that it would make much difference. The town has already written her as a sultry single who needs to settle down. That doesn’t make much difference either. Giselle favours freedom over the prison of that picket fence.

Scott Winters teases out her tale. Hard to believe he’s an architect. Lighting Giselle up like dynamite, he makes for a demolition man. But he’s faced with an unfamiliar feeling whenever she resolves to rise out of the rubble. Each explosion tears down his walls to build emotions. Braced upon the blueprints, Scott discerns desire from design.

Neither of them have a problem laying their cards on the table. There’s no harm in showing your hand as long as you don’t play it.
