Seven Rivers to Churchill

This is the second book Jim Lewis has authored. The first was Ka-Ka-Ska-Ska (Headwaters to the Gulf - in a Kayak). Ka-Ka-Ska-Ska was based on his kayak trip down the Mississippi. It provides a little more humor than adventure. Born in northern Minnesota, Jim began his love for paddling at the age of twelve and bought his first canoe at age fourteen. Jim has paddled for more than fifty years, logging thousands of miles on dozens of lakes and rivers across thirteen states and two Canadian Provinces. Jim also enjoys biking and hiking. He and four friends biked around Lake Superior, an eleven hundred mile trip done in twelve days. Jim has hiked across the Grand Canyon four times, a trek of twenty-three miles with an elevation change of 10,000 feet. The last two times were done as a ＂day-hike.＂ In 2011, Jim climbed Mt Kilimanjaro in Africa.
