Debbie lives in Reserve, Louisiana. She is married to Rev. Ervin Craighead and they have three daughters, Kara, Maci, and Darci, and a grandson, Joshua. She is the youngest of ten children and the only one in her family that have two degrees. Debbie graduated from East St. John High School in Reserve and from there she attended the River Parishes Vocational School. She worked for River Parishes Hospital for ten years going nowhere and decided to quit work and attend college. She graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University with a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in Liberal Arts, Major English and Minor History and Delgado Community College with an Associate of Arts Degree in Performance and Media Arts. She graduated with honors and is a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. She taught school for six years and gained experience in television. She has done lots of film work and filmed some short films of her own. She is also a Producer with her yearly show "From Da Bottom to Da Top Showcase. She created her on independent production company called DSC Productions. Debbie worked Super Bowl 47 in New Orleans as a stand-in with the NFL which she had to be on camera a lot. Also, she has volunteered for LPB television in Baton Rouge taking phone calls on for membership drives. She was an announcer for the local news at WBOK Radio in New Orleans. She worked as an Assistant News Specialist with WVUE Fox 8 and she was the Reserve Town Talk reporter with the Times Picayune. Debbie was also involved in politics. She was elected to the Democratic Parish Executive Committee, District 3 and appointed by State Senator Karen Carter Peterson to the Democratic State Central Committee, 81st District Office A. She was elected to attend the Democratic National Convention to elect President Barack Obama, but could not go due to Hurricane Isaacs. She was also the Public Heaven Can’t Wait 57 Relations person with Warm Hands-Warm Hearts, a non-profit organization that mentor children. Today, Debbie is the Assistant Producer for ’Talk To Me New Orleans Underground. She is also a photographer, a Journalist and an Author. Debbie gives credit to God for giving her the gifts and talents that he has bestowed upon her. Furthermore, she gives credit to her mom and dad that have gone on home to be with the Lord.
