Jasmine is a strong willed African American woman who grew up through a life of struggle but is now working hard to make something of her life. When she meets cute Ryan they hit off right away and a romance between the two seems inevitable.

The fact that Jasmine is black and Ryan is white is not a problem for them but it appears to be a problem for others. Jasmine knows that when you live in the ghetto your business can easily become EVERYONE'S business too.
