When she’s not writing, she reads, plays video games, and serves as the director of Literacy for Reading with Pictures, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting comics in education. She lives with her husband, Josh, and their own two rescue dogs, Ripley and Newt.

Zack Giallongo is your typical artist with a beard. He makes his own comics, drawings for roleplaying games, and teaches illustration. Growing up in Massachusetts, he also spent a lot of time in Indiana with his maternal side of the family. After spending time as a video store clerk, a museum guard, and a gym teacher, he found work in creating independent comics and graphic novels for all readers and has tried not to look back. He’s gotten the chance to work with Star Wars (
Star Wars Doodles and
The Doodles Strike Back from Disney publishing, and
Ewoks: Shadows of Endor from Dark Horse) as well as making stories and drawings for Ducktales and Adventure Time. His own graphic novel,
Broxo (which is about teenage barbarians and zombies) was a
New York Times bestseller. Of cheese, banjos, and dogs, his love is unwavering.
Whitney Cogar is a comic colorist and illustrator from Savannah, GA. She contributed colors to the two time Eisner Award winning
Giant Days (Boom! Studios), the Ringo! Award winning
The O.Z., the Steven Universe comic series (Boom! Studios), and Lucy Knisley’s Peapod Farm series (Random House). She enjoys building punchy, rich environments in her work and designing enamel pins.
