A Leap in the Dark

"It was just going to be the next job." So begins "A Leap in the Dark", the debut novel by writer and poet Matt Frati in which we meet his alter-ego Paul Medina, who at 22 is starting yet another dead end, manual labor job and contending with despotic bosses, annoying coworkers and customers, all the while trying to be a writer and find his own way into the literary world. It's at this latest job where he meets a mysterious woman and leaps head first into a brief but important relationship that alters the course of his previously ordinary life, both on and off the page.

Matt Frati is the author of ＂Nightingale Blues＂, his first book of poems, released in April 2015 and its follow-up, ＂Standing in the Shadows of Giants＂, both of which are available for purchase on amazon.com and the createspace store. A 2011 graduate of Rhode Island College, he lives in Cumberland, RI and occasionally does freelance writing for various online publications. He hopes to write a cross country road trip novel someday, but he actually has to cross the country first.
