When shredded remains turn up in hotel bathtubs all over Birmingham, FBI Agent Samantha Reece and her partner, Quinn O’Reilly, are assigned to investigate.

As she tracks down the terrifying killer, dubbed Grisly Adams because the near-liquefied remains look like an animal mauling, only worse, she must also contend with the reappearance of her sire, the unknown jaguar who infected her with the shifter virus.

Everything is turned upside down when he decides to come sauntering back into her life in his human form. To make matters worse, an anti-shifter hate group sets their sights on Sam.

It makes her wonder: could there be a reason her sire is back, other than the apology he’s offering?
