Arlene Cook Shuster was single again for twenty years. She is an award-winning writer (1982 Writer’s Digest National Grand Prize and San Diego County Christian Writers Guild 1994 Grand Prize for "Living Alone - Devotions for Women Who are Single Again.") She has also authored several novels: "From the Ashes of Hell" (Creation House Publishers), "Forever Yours, One True Love, and Love’s Destiny" (Harvest House Publishers) and hundreds of magazine articles. Arlene Cook Shuster is a lifelong resident of Escondido, CA. She graduated from San Diego State University with a degree in Elementary Education. During her twenty ’single again’ years Arlene Cook Shuster joined Mary Kay Cosmetics, one of the nation’s most successful Christian companies. She travelled extensively with Mary Kay, forming lifelong bonds with many sister directors and retired as a Senior Sales Director following her remarriage. The author has three adult children Alan, Alyse and Jon. Together with her husband Bob Shuster, they have six children, twelve grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She and her husband are active in local politics, in the Escondido Rotary Club, as well as Grace Lutheran Church, which was founded by her grandparents in the 1920s.
