John Francis Hopkins (Jack) was born in Dublin where he attended Primary and Secondary school. In 1972 he moved to Australia, on assisted passage, for fun and adventure. There he received a Bachelor of Arts degree (Economics/Philosophy) from the University of Sydney and later completed post graduate Marketing qualifica-tions at Charles Sturt University NSW where he graduated Valedictorian. He worked in the Pharmaceutical Industry for over 35 years commencing as a Medical Representative eventually progressing to Senior Management (direc-tor level). In addition, he has lectured in Marketing and Senior Sales Management and for leisure plays a five string banjo and button accordion. He currently lives back in Dublin with his wife Christina.
