Stephen Hazlett was born and came of age in New Jersey. He served for three years in the Army Medical Corps, including a year in Vietnam, after which he began a long career as a computer professional in California’s Silicon Valley. He is the author of six novels, a romance novella, a collection of stories, and a memoir titled "The Way I Saw It - Memories of a Scottish Irish Son". His novels include the three volume City Different mystery series, set in Santa Fe, NM, and three novels of contemporary life, including "The Buddhist," his best seller. His latest is the romance novella, "Ghost Girl." He lives in New Mexico’s Land of Enchantment pursuing the craft of a writer of contemporary fiction, mystery/suspense and crime/thrillers. When not immersed in his passion for writing, he enjoys hiking, biking, the great outdoors, and sharing good times with friends.
