A Matter of Trust

Marlene Hill, author of A Matter of Trust, (third book in the Venetian Waters series) first discovered Venice when her crabby third-grade teacher sent her to the Cedar, Nebraska library to write a report. For many years, she lived off and on in Italy, chiefly in Venice. She cannot live in Venice right now, so she writes about those who can. Meanwhile, Marlene lives in Portland, Oregon.
