Having always been passionate with the diversity of living creatures, Lucia Casaverde developed even more respect and interest when traveling through the rainforest, the Andes and the coastal regions of her country of origin, Peru, where the biodiversity is like fresh air. The fascinating wisdom found in nature became an inspiration to write a story about the beauty that surrounds us, suggesting the Scottish Highlands as the spark for her story, a place she is fond of. Lucia holds a degree in Business Administration. She worked in corporate environments before choosing education as her favorite field, for then volunteering as a caregiver of children with exceptional needs for many years. She lives in California with her family.
