Marriage and Divorce Hardships: Inevitable Traps

The effects of relationship hardships on people and society are rather obvious. The repercussions of our na ve mentality about relationships are overwhelming us too. Thus, our oblivion to see the cause of all these pains feels quite baffling. Our reluctance to acknowledge the depth of relationship dilemmas we have imposed upon ourselves, as well as their personal and so-cial ramifications, is rather shocking. In fact, our ignorance, indifference, or denial shows the depth of our social numbness. This book's goal is to address our responsibility in causing the rising personal and social instability, suggest some solutions to revamp our viewpoints, and seek better means of relating in our marriages-or at least evade this potential source of suffering by learning to live more independently. Instead of only bragging about independence, time has come to become self-reliant truly, which ironically teaches us the art of relating and depending on one another in a realistic manner as well.

Tom Omidi was born and raised in Tehran. He did his graduate studies (including a doctorate in human behaviour) in Los Angeles, then moved to Vancouver (Canada), worked for the Province of British Columbia for twenty years. He has done private consulting and counselling, and has been writing extensively too.
