Dr. Renner is a 2017 Carnegie African Diaspora Fellow, a Fulbright Specialist Scholar and currently a tenured Professor in the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis at East Tenseness State University. She is also a 2014 Tennessee Board of Regents (TBR) Maxine Smith Fellow. A native of Sierra Leone, she practiced law as an attorney specializing in comparative international law and general legal practice before relocating to the United States. She currently teaches courses at the doctoral level namely; Higher Education Law, Law for Organizational Leaders, Policy Analysis, Ethics for Educational Leaders, Legal Affairs for Student Personnel, Small Group Leadership and the Administration of Higher Education at the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis. Dr. Renner is the author of several children’s paperback, kindle and audio fiction books on Leadership and character-building. She has also authored two non-fiction books on wisdom and creativity, published numerous peer-reviewed refereed journal articles and several book chapters on Leadership, Social Media, Law and Higher Education Administration. She recently authored a text book on Higher Education Law and Social Media titled: Social Media and the Law: A Practical Guide for Educational Leaders. She is the founder of Cross-cultural Leadership Network and the Director of Development and International Outreaches at Develop Africa Inc., an International 50(1)(c) 3 non-profit headquartered in Johnson city, TN. She is married to Sylvester Renner and is the mother of a five-year old energetic and creative Son, Daniel Denzel Renner. She enjoys creative expressions, teaching, reading and dance aerobics.
