Bob Granger's wife, Kathy, is murdered. When the police are slow to act, Bob turns amateur detective and investigates the case himself. Bob believes that a man named Cramer, the leader of a local biker gang, is behind the killings and takes the law into his own hands. Bob finds Cramer but is tackled before he can get a shot off. He is beaten to within an inch of his life and left for dead. When he is found by the police, he is comatose and without identification.
While dying of a heart attack, Bob's friend Jack Newby confesses to Kathy's murder, but Tom "TJ" Holiday, the FBI investigator, doesn't believe him. Bob's family learns of Bob's whereabouts in a nearby hospital, and, as he is keeping watch over his father, Bob's eldest son, Robert, falls in love with a nurse named Jen Grant. In the course of the murder investigation, Robert and TJ become friends and decide to start a detective agency to help Christians in need. Bob awakens from his coma. He falls in love with Mary, who was Jack Newby's wife. Newby's confession was false. But why? The search for a killer continues.
