Emotional, sexual, and financial abuses of innocent people is rampant in many churches today. Predatory pastors and church elders keep power over people by misrepresenting the Bible to them. Evangelicalism and Fundamentalism have created beliefs and observe practices that are foreign to the Bible. The goal of this series is to re-educate people who have been abused in churches on the essential concepts of the Christian faith so that they can understand the cons and duplicity of Evangelicalism and Fundamentalism and re-establish confident contact with Jesus Christ.

Jeri Massi spent 13 years documenting the sexual abuse of children by Baptist and Fundamentalist clergy. She is the producer of the Recovering Fundamentalists podcast that aired for four years. She has interviewed numerous victims of clergy abuse, collecting their doubts and fears about God. formerly a writer on staff at Bob Jones University, she has produced this series of devotionals from the Scripture to offer comfort to victims of abuse.
